Manju Kumar joined CCIT in 2007 as a senior development engineer and has over six years of experience in ITS Planning, Transportation Safety and Traffic Engineering.
Manju has successfully led projects for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the Oregon Department of Transportation, Gallatin County in Montana,the NCHRP research program and the U.S. DOT. He has also participated in projects for Virginia DOT and Grand Teton National Park.
Manju holds a masters degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasize on Transportation Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT M) in Chennai, India. His work in the area of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) includes developing a proof of concept and a prototype system for an on-site traveler information for rural highway work zones, evaluation of automated wind warning systems, ITS maintenance cost estimations through case studies, and traffic signal priority systems.
