Ryan joined CCIT in May 2007 as a graduate student researcher. He is currently working on optimal sensor deployment strategies for improving freeway travel time estimates.
Ryan has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and a master's degree in industrial engineering and operations research from UC Berkeley. He is currently working towards a Ph.D. in industrial engineering and operations research at UC Berkeley, researching optimization. His interests are in mathematical modeling and analysis with applications in transportation science, health care and environmental science.
