  • If sudden onsets of fog are a cause of accidents, consider installing fog sensors and warning signs upstream of the location. 

  • For areas in which ice creates a hazard, consider a system to warn of the impending formation of ice so that drivers can slow down or put on chains.

  • For areas with snow, consider an integrated program of weather forecasting and detection, snow removal, traveler information, and traffic control.
